Synopsis

Koukyuu no Karasu (Raven of the Inner Palace) is set in a fictional version of ancient China and follows the story of a mysterious consort named Liu Shouxue, also known as the "Raven Consort." Unlike the other consorts in the emperor's harem, Liu Shouxue does not perform traditional duties such as attending to the emperor. Instead, she resides in her secluded palace, where she is said to possess mystical powers that can solve supernatural cases, grant wishes, or even curse people. The series begins when Emperor Xia Gaojun seeks her help to solve a mystery involving a strange artifact. As Liu Shouxue and Gaojun's paths cross, they unravel hidden secrets of the imperial palace and the consort's enigmatic past. Despite her isolation, Liu Shouxue becomes involved in political and supernatural intrigues that challenge her detachment from the outside world. The story blends elements of mystery, fantasy, and historical drama, highlighting themes of power, loneliness, and human connection.
