During the special event 10th Anniversary Memorial Fest! Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special Night Dream Fest, held this Sunday at the TFT Hall 1000 in Tokyo, it was announced that the anime Skeleton Knight in Another World (Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu) will have a second season. Additionally, a promotional image was unveiled as a preview.
To celebrate this announcement, both KeG, the original character designer of the light novels, and Akira Sawano, the author of the manga adaptation, shared special illustrations.

Light Novels and Manga
The light novel series, written by Ennki Hakari, began in October 2014 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform. Overlap published the first volume in June 2015, featuring illustrations by KeG, and has released 10 volumes as of March 2022. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Akira Sawano, debuted on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website in February 2017 and currently has 13 volumes published.
Synopsis of Skeleton Knight in Another World
One day, a gamer fell asleep while playing, only to awaken inside the game’s world… as a skeleton! Armed with the powerful weapons and armor of his avatar but stuck with a terrifying skeletal appearance, Arc must find his place in this fantastical land. His dream of living a peaceful life is shattered when he encounters a beautiful elven warrior, dragging him into a journey filled with conflicts and adventures.
